Maryland CJIS is the state criminal-history route for authorized purposes and subject review. The CJIS FAQ says this information is not open public data and another person cannot simply order a citizen’s history without authorization.
Maryland Judiciary Case Search provides public case-record information, subject to confidentiality/shielding limits. It is a court index, not the applicant’s CJIS fingerprint report.
Baltimore County Courts lists the Circuit Court and multiple District Court locations. Once a case is located, use the court that owns that file when the task requires an official copy.
CJIS fingerprint instructions say these are required when the check is for employment or licensing.
When results are sent to a government agency, CJIS says a Z/ORI number may also be required. The requesting organization should provide the routing information.
CJIS lists valid government photo identification among the prerequisites for service.
The state directs applicants to print and bring the Livescan pre-registration application to CJIS, a private provider, or a government-operated service.

DPSCS warns that authorized private providers may collect their own service fee in addition to state/FBI record-check charges. Compare the provider’s total before the appointment; do not quote the central-repository amount as an all-in private-provider price.
District Court and Circuit Court are separate locations and can hold different proceedings.
The Judiciary portal does not return confidential, shielded, or otherwise restricted records.
If a decision depends on the exact judgment or disposition, request that document from the court rather than treating the Case Search screen as the CJIS background report.
